Industrial Psychologist - Tyger Valley

We are looking for two suitably qualified Industrial Psychologists to join our team. The successful candidates will be working closely with the medico-legal consultants to conduct psycho-legal assessments for personal injury, medical negligence, maintenance and third party claims. The positions also involve the compilation of psycho-legal expert reports for litigation. Both positions are entry level and the successful candidates will undergo training.

Requirements:

Industrial Psychology/Psychology qualification
Must be registered with the HPCSA
At least 0-1 year experience in the Medico-Legal field
Must be passionate about Medico-Legal report writing
Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment
Must be residing in or around Pretoria East

Duties:

Psycho-legal Evaluation and Claimant Interviewing

Conduct psycho legal evaluations/assessments on plaintiff and defense claimants
Gather information and compile notes for report writing

Report Writing

Analyse available expert reports regarding an individual’s functioning
Synthesize and integrate information from the various expert reports (in accordance with psychological principles) and compile psycho-legal & addendum reports, for litigation
Exercise due diligence by collecting collateral information from employers for all assignments and quality checking other writers’ reports
Compile joint minutes for faster resolution of matters in court

Research

Research on earnings data for use in making an expert opinion
Research on each and every claimant assignment in order to be able to provide informed expert opinions

Admin

Following up on outstanding expert documents for assigned work
Keeping a record of trial dates for assigned work to ensure deadlines are met
New business development

Market the company’s psycho-legal services to Attorneys
